Geddes is well-known for its tourism
and attracts visitors locally, regionally and nationally. Geddes
is centrally located between multiple larger communities. Given
its proximity to multiple Lake Francis Case Recreation Areas,
it's considered the place to be for shopping, business,
hunting, fishing, camping, boating and sightseeing.
Spend an hour, day or week in Geddes
and you'll understand why we say, "Grow in Geddes."

Francis Case
Geddes
+ Lake Francis Case = Vacation to Remember!
Geddes is centrally
located to multiple Lewis and Clark Region Parks on the very popular
lower Lake Francis Case. Lake Francis Case is the reservoir formed
when the Ft. Randall Dam was constructed in the 1950's. If you're
fond of camping, fishing & ice fishing, swimming, boating,
water-skiing or any water sport, Geddes and the upper Lewis and
Clark Region Parks on the lake prove to be a great combination.
Campers love Geddes
for camping supplies. Fisherman stock up on bait and fishing gear.
Hunters often make Geddes their temporary in-season home. Folks
spending time on the lake picnicing, boating, swimming or water-skiing
stop in Geddes to get their groceries and beverages. Sightseers
on the Lewis and Clark Trail make the stop in scenic Geddes to
fill 'er up. You too can gas up on your way back to the lake at
the Co-op, but don't say goodbye just yet! Geddes is convenient
for those, "Oops, I forgot something!" quick runs back
to town!
As you can see below
on the interactive map, Geddes is definitely at the center of
it all. Move your mouse over any of the flashing stars to see
the park's name. Click on it or any of the handy text links to
the right to go to that park's website.

Got a boat? Make sure to check out all the "West River"
rec. areas just across the lake! |
